Our goal is to provide a calm, organized, and exceptional experience for you and your party from your first inquiry through your wedding day. If you have any questions about our policies or services, we are always happy to help.

Securing Your Date

You may reserve your date with a signed agreement and a 50% deposit. Please note that scheduling or attending a bridal trial does not reserve your wedding date.

Payment

We accept all major credit cards, checks, and cash. Trial sessions are payable by credit card or cash at the time of the appointment.

Bridal Trials

Bridal trials are scheduled Monday through Thursday at our Union Square studio in San Francisco.

Trials are designed to refine and finalize your wedding-day look in advance, and are strongly encouraged for most bridal bookings. Because dates book quickly, we recommend reserving your wedding date before scheduling your trial whenever possible.

Please note that scheduling or attending a trial does not hold your date.

Cancellation Policy

If services are canceled four months or more before your wedding date, your deposit will be refunded less a $100 administrative fee per reserved artist.

On-Location Services

Triple Twist provides fully equipped on-location hair and makeup services throughout San Francisco, Napa, Marin, Silicon Valley, destination locations, and beyond.

Our team arrives with professional lighting, Italian-made makeup stations, chairs, and all necessary setup equipment to create a smooth and stress-free getting-ready experience for your party.

For destination weddings or extended travel, please contact us regarding travel and lodging accommodations.

Peak Season & Booking Requirements

During peak wedding season (May 1 – October 31):

• Saturday weddings require a six-service minimum
• Sunday weddings require a four-service minimum

An example of six services would be bridal hair and makeup plus two attendants receiving hair and makeup services.

Promotions and discounted packages do not apply to peak-season weekend bookings.

Touch-Up Services

Touch-up coverage is available to help maintain your look throughout the day and evening.

This service may include hairstyle maintenance, lip touch-ups, lash adjustments, shine control, and weather-related corrections as needed. Touch-up services are billed hourly beginning immediately after original services are completed.

For extended coverage or multi-location events, please contact us for a custom quote.

Second Look Styling

If you are planning a second hairstyle or makeup look later in the day, we are happy to coordinate a second-look package customized to your timeline and event schedule.

Blowout Services

We do not currently offer blowout-only services. We recommend booking a salon that specializes in blowouts prior to your appointment if needed.

Large Wedding Parties

We regularly accommodate larger wedding parties and multi-artist timelines.

For larger groups, we recommend contacting us as early as possible so we can coordinate staffing, scheduling, and logistics appropriately.

Early Morning Events

Depending on your required completion time, additional early-morning staffing fees may apply.

Frequent Questions

When should I secure my date?

Most clients reserve their wedding date between 6–18 months in advance, though we also accommodate shorter timelines when availability allows.

Peak Saturdays, holiday weekends, and unique calendar dates tend to book first.

What is a bridal trial?

A bridal trial is a private consultation and styling session with Mei at our Union Square studio.

During the appointment, you will review inspiration photos, discuss your goals, and refine your wedding-day hair and makeup look together. Most bridal trials take approximately two hours.

Trials are strongly encouraged, though not required.

Do you offer City Hall packages?

Yes. We offer weekday City Hall and elopement appointments at our Union Square studio.

Do you provide on-location services?

Yes. Triple Twist provides on-location hair and makeup services throughout the Bay Area and destination locations.

Our mobile setup is designed to be efficient, organized, and photograph beautifully while minimizing stress for your party.

What is included with the on-location setup?

Our team arrives with professional lighting, mirrors, Italian-made makeup stations, chairs, and all required setup equipment.

Clients do not need to coordinate tables, lighting, or power arrangements in advance whenever standard access is available.

Can I use my bridal trial for an engagement session?

We generally recommend booking a dedicated event hair and makeup appointment for engagement sessions rather than using your bridal trial.

Bridal trials are intended to finalize your exact wedding-day look and may occasionally require rescheduling if wedding bookings take priority.

Event hair and makeup appointments are often a better fit for engagement photography sessions and may be scheduled more flexibly.

Why is the company called Triple Twist?

Triple Twist was named after Mei’s former flying trapeze act, which ended with a triple twist dismount performed during her years as a professional performer with Cirque du Soleil.

Her background in performance continues to influence the calm preparation, timing, and attention to detail that define the Triple Twist experience today.

Is your equipment clean?

Yes. Hygiene and cleanliness are extremely important to our team.

Brushes, palettes, tools, and stations are sanitized between clients, disposable items are never reused, and our studio is professionally cleaned on a regular schedule.

How is the wedding-day timeline organized?

We prepare a detailed beauty timeline based on your party size, services, photography schedule, and completion goals.

Our scheduling process is designed to create a calm, organized morning with clear timing for everyone involved.

I have sensitive skin. What products do you use?

We use a professional combination of Makeup Designory (MUD), Bobbi Brown, Dior, Chanel, MAC, Shu Uemura, and other professional products selected based on skin type, complexion, and desired finish.

Our products are chosen for long wear, photography, and comfort throughout the day.

Can I reduce services after booking?

We encourage clients to finalize their party size and services carefully prior to booking.

Within four months of the wedding date, reserved services generally cannot be reduced.

Can I add services after booking?

Whenever scheduling allows, we are happy to add services and provide an updated wedding-day timeline for your party.
