When should I secure my date?

We recommened booking as soon as possible. In our experience, most couples secure their dates about 6-8 months in advance. Weekend and holiday weddings have the highest demand and are booked first.

What are bridal trials? Are they required?

Bridal trials allow you to try your desired look before your wedding day. Because we have found that they are so helpful, we require them for our brides. Trials take place at our studio in San Francisco from Monday to Thursday.

Your trial starts with a consultation with Mei where you go over looks and discuss your goals for your wedding. The makeup and hair styling usually takes two hours. We end with quick head shots using professional camera and lighting equipment to ensure clear and even lighting for your review. There is no fee for the photos and they are delivered the same day.

Do you travel, or do on-location hair and makeup?

Yes. Triple Twist On Location is an affordable luxury and a convenient way to start your wedding services. All travel time and fees are included, which means there are never any hidden fees on the day of your wedding.

On Location Hair and Makeup San Francisco Weddings

What is the on-location kit? Do I need to do anything to prepare?

Our on-location kit is stunning. (Photographers, videographers, and our brides constantly let us know). We arrive with a beautiful Italian-made makeup table with lights and a mirror, director's chairs, and everything else required to service your party. This means you you do not need to coordinate lighting, tables, seating, or power. We take care of everything, setup and tear down is 10 minutes, and we leave no footprint.

How can I determine the timing for the day?

Our studio manager, Robert, will prepare you a minute-by-minute schedule, customized based on your party size and services requested.

Scheduling

I cannot make it to a trial, can I still book Triple Twist for my wedding?

Yes. Mei can conduct a virtual trial which is billed at the normal trial rate. Please contact us so we can provide you with more information.

I have sensitive skin, what products do you use?

We use Makeup Designory (MUD) foundations and makeup in combination with other Chanel, Dior, M-A-C, and Shu Uemura products. The MUD products are professional products and need to hand mixed by Mei to match each person's skin tone for a perfect match. They are very popular in Hollywood and used widely in the TV and film industry on actors and professionals.

While no one can guarantee that an allergic reaction will never occur (as there are simply too many factors to consider), we have never had a breakout or allergic reaction from the use of our products, even with clients who have stated that they have sensitive skin.

Is your equipment clean?

Yes, we have reinvented cleanliness in the makeup and hair industry.
