Traveling has been an integral part of our work for the last twenty years. Previously, touring Asia, Europe and North America always involved getting up early for flights, buses, and early morning weekend events.
The bridal industry is no different, and with our mobile beauty studio, we are able to travel to any location to provide services anywhere. And that’s just what we did in Lake Tahoe for Natalie’s wedding this year. We were honored to be part of Natalia’s wedding, and were thrilled to see that the wedding was featured in Smitten Magazine! At her trial, we loved learning how she met her fiancé, Aaron, in Japan and how their relationship grew over the years. Not only is this a fun part of the trial, it really helps us learn about who our brides are. Matching a bride’s vision for hair and makeup is much more than copying a look off a piece of paper – you need a deep understanding of their personality.
In this case, we think we nailed it! Sometimes when it rains the best moments occur, and San Francisco wedding photographer Larissa Cleveland did an amazing job a capturing the spirit of the day. Special thanks to Larissa for these great images, and a big congratulations to Kaori and Aaron!

We worked with Kathy at the Fairmont in San Francisco for her wedding hair and makeup services. Mei did nine services, including touch-up services at the Flood Mansion. Kathy was looking for natural beauty makeup with a less finished, looser look for her hairstyle. We loved how it turned out, and have to say, this is one beautiful couple! Congratulations!
